Event Description

8-10 volunteers are needed to work an ice cream social event at the VA Hospital in Madison.

This event is taking place on October 22nd from 1:30-3pm (volunteers are asked to show up at 1pm).

We will be dishing and serving ice cream and toppings to patients at the hospital.

This is a great opportunity to be able to thank fellow veterans, help cheer them up, and have fun while doing it.

Please respond as soon as possible so we know how many people to expect.

ALSO . . . (THIS PART IS IMPORTANT!)

A volunteer is needed to ride along to the VA Hospital with fellow Vets for Vets member to do a walk through of the Ice Cream social. It would be Tuesday the 18th at 11:30 am. You would meet at the Vets for Vets office a little before 11am.

The regular visitor parking is under construction so you will be parking in the Patient Self Park lot.

When you enter the building from this lot, you will be on the ground floor of the hospital, in the B-wing. Proceed to your left until you come to the first set of elevators. Take the elevators to the 2nd floor which is where our office is located.

You can contact the Police for entrance to the office by calling the hospital from any hospital phone or cell phone at (608)256-1901 and asking for the Police extension at 17270.
